“Have You Seen K?,” asks Aamir

“Have you seen K?,” asked superstar Aamir Khan at the star filled screening of Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Omkara’ at Yahraj Studios recently. Before the guessing game starts, lemme clarify, K stands for his dear wife Kiran Rao who was looking amazingly cool while Khan was in his usual chilled out hottie-dude-look. The screening organised by Desdemona Kareena Kapoor was one of the most well attended events in Bollywood as who’s-who of the film world turned up in full force.

Apart from Aamir and his gang of friends, there was King Khan Shahrukh with Farhan Akhtar and wife Gauri. Karan Johar, Mani Rathnam, Arbaz Khan, Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora, Konkana Sen Sharma, Tushshar Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and family were some of the other notable invitees. Beau Shahid Kapoor stayed away (Kareena’s hot scenes with Ajay were too-hot-to-handle, right Shahid!) but his illustrious father Pankaj Kapoor made up for his absence. Of course Vishal was present and was overwhelmed by the amazing response that he received.

Mani Rathnam gave the finest compliment by saying that ‘Omkara is the best film he has seen this year.’ Kareena was flooded with congratulatory bouquets. In her zeal for ensuring everyone had seats to themselves, she saw the film standing for full three hours. SRK complimented Konkana for her “Good performance” and she still hasn’t recovered from the shock. Ajay and Saif were conspicuous by their absence while Viveik had organized a special screening for her family at Fun Republic and hence couldn’t attend the Big Screening.

Vishal’s ‘Omkara’ is truly a great movie. And the producers must work on the subtitled version soon so that the world can watch this fascinating adaptation of a Shakespearean classic.
